Dr MESIA KAHUNU GAUTHIER is PharmD, and PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Universiteit Antwerpen in Belgium since 2009. He is Professor of Molecular and antiinfectious Pharmacology at University of Kinshasa and Université Protestante au Congo (UPC) since 2010. He has several years of experience working in human infectious diseases in Africa and Belgium. Dr. MESIA KAHUNU is WHO International Consultant providing technical support to Malaria and Tuberculosis Program Review in Africa and to response in malaria outbreak in DRC. He also provides support to several projects from GFATM/SANRU, UNICEF, USAID/MSH, DFID/ASF/PSI concerning the rational use of medicines including antiinfectious. He is member of Malaria Task Force of the National Program for Malaria Control/WHO and executive staff member of the National Centre of Pharmacovigilance and Unit of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacovigilance of the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Kinshasa, DR-Congo. The Unit of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacovigilance is member of Central Africa Clinical Research Network (CANTAM) where Professor MESIA is workpackage leader. His fields of research are the Antimalarial efficacy assessment, the Development of medicines from plants used in Congolese traditional medicine and the Clinical trials. His author or co-author of more than 97 abstracts, presentations and articles.
